  • H1-B Visa Transfer

    Hi,
I'm currently on H1-B visa. My wife is a US citizen. I'm planning on applying for my Green Card but I do have a offer letter from a company who would like to hire me and transfer my H1-B visa. But I can't join till I get my H1-B visa approved from USCIS. They would like me to join them ASAP.
I am thinking of submitting all my documents to USCIS for my green card and letting company know about it. Is it possible for me to join this company on the basis of submitting all documents to USCIS.
    Any advice/suggestion is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Harry

Your wife's immigrant petition has nothing to do with work authorization.
Your new employer can file H1B in premium and get a result in 15 days. You can also join them as soon as H1 petition is filed using the receipt notice.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

It takes approx. 15 days for them to get a receipt. You can join them then.
