Amway and H1

So I am here in USA on my H1 and did a really stupid thing.

I signed up for Amway from a friend. I was convinced that it's legal till I found out from immihelp that it wasn't.

So here is the situation. The details I provided on Amway form were

1. Name (full name)
2. Credit card information (credit card was issued in india)
3. email address (gmail email address)
4. office cell number (US cell number, not issued in my name specifically)

Signed the form where required.

Note - I didn't provide my SSN information since I am still waiting on it.

As soon as I figured it out, I called my friend to cancel the whole thing. But since he already placed the details in Amway system he said that only way now is to use the cancellation/refund system. Given that it's a weekend this will only happen on monday. So now I am waiting on that to happen.

I know it was very stupid thing to do and I am not supposed to do anything else apart from what was specified in my petition. I am planning to consult a lawyer as soon as my cancellation of order is processed.

Till then I wanted to ask people as what do you think the reprecussions of this would be? I know I messed up but I am ready to fix it. So all help is welcome.

As long as you have not made any money yet through this, don't worry about it.

Cancel it as soon as you can.
