Travel to Mumbai via london (1 week)- H1B stamp in London or Mumbai

I have an approved H1B without stamp as I have not travelled outside US after it got approved. I am planning for a round trip from US to Mumbai via london. I am planning to stay in london at relatives place for about a week and then go to Mumbai.

Is it necessary to get H1B visa stamp in the first country visited outside US which in my case would be London OR can I get it done when I go to mumbai afterwards? I have Indian nationality.

A week is too short to apply for Visa. It is best to do it in India.
