When can H4 start working ?

Hello friends,

My spouse is on H4 visa when will she can start working if she gets some H1 B sponser.How soon she can work ? is she need to wat till oct 2012 ?

Please guide.

She can work if the H1B petition gets approved as a COS from H4 (H1B approval should come with a new I-94). The H1B effective date will be mentioned in the approval notice. She cannot work prior to the H1B effective date and she should work and get paid from the H1B effective date to maintain the H1B status.
