    My wife applied for H1B visa at the US Consulate Mumbai on 15th Feb and she received a 221(g) green slip. We submitted the requested documents on 21st Feb and havent heard back anything. I have H1B visa and we are planning to apply H4 for my wife. My questions are

    1) Do we need to withdraw the pending H1 application?

    2) During the H4 interview, would it be ok to mention that she had applied for H1 before?

    3) We have to go to US ASAP to give our fingerprints for the green card 485 application.
    Would it be benificial to mention this to the officer during H4 interview?

    Thanks

    1) Do we need to withdraw the pending H1 application?
    >>> Not required.

    2) During the H4 interview, would it be ok to mention that she had applied for H1 before?
    >>> Yes. You have to mentioned it in your wife's DS160 as visa rejection as H1B is under 221g. Until the 221g gets cleared, you need to mention it as rejection in any new visa pplication that you fill.

    3) We have to go to US ASAP to give our fingerprints for the green card 485 application.

    >>> If asked, you can mention it.
