Should go for a marriage in India on Aug 1st, H1 expiring on Oct 1st

Hello everyone,

My brother's marriage is scheduled on August 1st 2012. I got my first H1B on Oct 2009, so my H1B will expire on Oct 2012. Mine is a full time job and has all paystubs and everything.

1.) Is it a good idea to go to India and return back by Aug 5th 2012?
2.) Will they stop me saying that your H1B is only valid for 2 months more?
3.) How early should i apply my H1B extension?
4.) According to you When should i apply my H1B extension?
5.) When should my H1B extension be approved in case if they stop me?
6.) Please give me advices.

Either your employer can file now in premium so that you will have the extended petition when you return or they should file after you return. There should not be any problem with the travel itself. Just don't travel when petition is pending.
