H1B 221g letter

Hi all,

I appeared for H1B visa interview on 17/Oct/2011 and i got 221(g) white slip. I have submitted all the necessary documents on 17/apr/2012 and submitted y passport also.

how long it takes to complete the process? Is there any choice to get my passport during the process as i got another opportunity?

>>> No one can predict that as it is case by case basis. Search and read the posts on 221g / admin processing.

Is there any choice to get my passport during the process as i got another opportunity?
>>> Yes, you can write a letter to the consulate mentioning that you need the passport back for so and so reason and will return it back to them for stamping when the visa gets approved.
