  • 'Monthly salary' if employed outside India

hi, I am currently employed in Singapore and gonna appear for interview in India. Should I be converting the SGD amount to INR and fill out the 'Monthly Salary in Local currency' column in the DS160 form or just give the SGD amount?

Monthly Salary should be in the currency in which you get the salary.

thank u. But there is no option to give what currency the amount is entered in, so if i give the SGD amount wouldn't it look too less if seen as INR unless i tell its SGD and not INR?

Your payslip shows which currency the salary is paid. You do not need to worry about whether it is less or more. The point is to provide correct information.
