221g Mumbai consulate success

With gods grace, One more successful case of 221g at Mumbai consulate.
Also very thankful to this forums where people have posted there success, it helped us getting hope during our tough time. Thank you immihelp.com !!

Sorry for posting it too late.

Got the passport on July 6th 2012, with H1B visa stamped!!!! Thank god for blessings!!
Here is the timeline for others reference.

Interview : June 13th 2012 mumbai consulate. Got 221g after 30 minutes of interview

Documents submitted: June 15th 2012 (VFS Ahmedabad)

2 WEEKS OF FRUSTRATION, WAITING, LOST ALMOST 20 LBS.
Received Email on : July 2nd 2012 to submit passport

Submitted that day itself : July 2nd 2012 (VFS Ahmedabad)

Received Passport on : July 6th 2012 yahoo!!!!

Its all with gods grace...keep faith in god and never give up hope!!

My case number appeared in the list on the Mumbai Consulate site, but I have not received an email or a phone call like everyone has. I am very concerned. Does this mean that I have to submit my passport?

Interview date: 19th oct : Not a single document asked during interview. Handed over blue slip.

22nd Nov: Docs submitted at VFS without passport

4th dec: got an email from consulate to submit passport

6th dec: submitted passport

8th dec: email saying collect passport

9th dec: collected passport from VFS, mumbai.

Visa Interview: Nov 30, 2011 New H1-B Mumbai Consulate at BKC new office

Issued a 221g Blue. Documents asked Copy of petition, Notarized list of all
employees with names, salaries, position, immigration status, company tax for last two years,letter from job site that vacany is there and detailed report of my work and project.

Submitted documents: Dec 6
Received email to submit passport: Dec 13 at 4pm.
Passport submitted: Dec 14
Received email that passport is ready to pick up: Dec 16 at 5 pm.
Received passport by blue dart: Dec 17 at 4pm (Bluedart works on Saturdays)

finaly got my passports back on 2nd March after submitting them on 27th March, 2 days after receiving email from embassy to submit them on 24th march. So as it is mentioned on this forum it takes about a weeks time to receive the passports back.

Hello Everyone,

I have been monitoring this thread/forum from 21st Jan 2012 since my spouse got a 221(g) when she applied for an H4. Mine was a new H1B and a COS, 3 months old, no stamp, evc model, very small company. I sent her with 2 paystubs - Mumbai Consulate @ BKC.

The H4 interview was cool, but at the end she was handed 221(g) with requested docs - "Petition, Client contracts, letter, organizational hierarchy, internal development project" - basically all employer related docs.

We submitted all docs on 5th Feb 2012 and waited.. 5 weeks passed by without a response. (The worst mental torture a human being can ever take).

But, on 15th Mar 2012, we got the email from consulate to submit her passport which came back stamped in 4 business

Here is a recap of my journey:
27 Oct: after completing my masters, enter India for Diwali (had my petition approved, fresh stamping)
2 December: Interview. Received 221g
19 January: Submitted documents
28 March: Letter to submit passport

Hey Guys,

I finally got the email from the consulate that they are ready for Final Processing. I will be submitting my passport on Monday. Hopefully now the ride wont get rough. I ll keep you guys updated.

My case in a nutshell:
Visa Intv date: 20th Dec 201. I got the blue 221g asking for Employer documents only (4 of them), non Employee docs.
Docs submitted on 6th Jan 2012
Received email from Consulate to submit docs on 30th March 2012.

Time taken to stamp H-1B visas - Mumbai US Consulate

Does anybody know approximately how long the Mumbai US Consulate takes to stamp visas once the passport is submitted to VFS? I may sound a little paranoid, but I have tickets re-booked for Thursday, April 5 (i.e. Wednesday night) and it's been 4 days already post submission of my passport. I've already spent ~$400 for re-scheduling my ticket (a victim of 221g myself, but received clearance in 19 days) and if I don't receive my stamped passport in time for my flight this Thursday, I may have to shell out another $400-500.

got first letter from consulate on 19th Feb saying that my case sent back to USCIS for review. Petition got reaffirmed on 1st march, 2012. on 28th March, got email from consulate to submit passport at VFS and received passport with VISA on 30th march.

I am glad to inform you all that the CEAC tracker has shown status as Issued on my case.

Interview Date : Dec 13 2012
221g Type : Blue With Additional Employer Documents required (Tax returns , notorized list of employees)
Visa consulate : Mumbai
Document Submission : January 5th 2013
Documents Received by Consulate : January 7th 2013

I Had sent my original transcript and degree certificate to Mumbai consulate. I have had hired a law office to help me prepare for documents. attorney helped the company to redact some of the confidential data that need not to be shown to consulate people. attorney also sent email to legalnet once every 30 days to inquire about the visa. I had also wrote to both the senators of florida state but they weren't much of a help. (It would be extremely helpful if your employer writes to the senator : according to my attorney)

April 11 2013 was holiday for Gudi Padvo and Chetichand so mumbai consulate was closed.

On April 12 2013 , passport tracker for my wife shown passport delivered to consulate and my passport shown as returned to Ahmedabad VFS office. I went to ahmedabad office in a hurry with a frustration and anxiety of getting a bad news. when I reached there they sent me a package with written "No passport" on it. package had my original degree certificate and transcript. I was much relieved to know that the administrative process was actually over because they have sent my original documents back to me. VFS people also told me that now i cannot track my passport as they have put my passport number as tracking number for my degree certificate package.

On April 12 2013 CEAC tracker was updated but still was showing "Administrative Process". It was making me anxious and it was frustrating as I was expecting it to become Issued as soon as possible.

April 13- 14 2013 was weekend.

But on Monday April 15th I was sure to my guts that CEAC tracker will change to Issued. Monday at 3 PM CEAC tracker was updated but again it was Administrative processing. I lost all my hopes as I learned about several cases getting a second 221g. But when I checked passport status of my wife I was relieved to know that It was still with consulate. (Usually passport leaves consulate immediately if you are getting a second 221g)

April 16 2013 early morning around @ 9:15 CEAC tracker changed to ISSUED.

Hopefully all of you will get your cases resolved with less complications than what I had to go through. I think I will receive my passport tomorrow.

Asked to submit my passport. does this means my visa got Approve?

Hi,

I had my visa interview on 19th Mar'13 @ Chennai
got a 221(g) Blue.

Submitted requested documents on 16th Apr'13

I got a call from Chennai consulate and asked to submit my passport. They also mailed me another 221(G) blue slip with a note "Submit Passport". Does this mean that my visa for approved?

Do we need to submit passport even in case of visa rejections?

I write this post to follow up current status of my DV-lottery 2013 case. My interview date was APRIL 2013 in yerevan.
During my interview, the honorable officer has told me that my documents are complete and your visas is accepted and
got to me Blue sheet(g221-they told me that i haven't any fault documents) and just need to wait 6 weeks for further processing.
But after 6 weeks my case is not cleared yet. Would you please review and let me know what is the current status of my case?
should i provide you with further information in order to facilitate my processing?
Do you think there is a problem in the process of reviewing my case?
