Hi

I went for my H1B stamping on 17th may 2012 to US Consulate Chennai?
My petition was approved on Oct 2011.

The visa officer gave me a 221G green form asking for a new LCA doc.

Kindly advice what this could be ?

Ask the employer and they have it. Before filing the H1B petition, they would have filed the LCA with DOS. Since your petition got approved a long time ago, I guess the consulate is asking for a new LCA to be filed and approved. Talk to your U.S employer.
