  • H1b Transfer

Currently I am on L1 blanket visa and my visa is valid till November 2012. Now I got my H1b approved through a consulting firm which will be active from October 2012.

Now if I get any good full time offers,

Can the new employer transfer H1b before October 1st with no H1b employment pay-stubs?

Can the transfer be done just with receipt number (Consulting company will not share the
    petition approval document) ?

Yes, they can file a cap-exempt petition for you. They will need proof of current status such as L1 employer's paystubs (for the change of status part).
Technically, receipt number is sufficient, but some employers insist on seeing the receipt notice or the approval notice.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

Hi Thanks for your prompt response. Will there be any issue with USCIS if we don't provide the petition document/reciept notice

There should not be a problem if receipt number is properly notified.
