First Time H1B Transfer before approval & Oct 1st

Hello Everyone,

I had a question about my transfer. Company X applied for my first H1B on April 9, I am waiting for my approval. Now Company Y offered me a job and is willing to sponsor the visa. However will it be possible to start working for Company Y even before approval before Oct1st or after approval before Oct 1st?

I am in a big dilemma now. If I cant work till Oct1st, I might loose this offer from Company Y.

If your H1b belongs to the 2013 quota and has a start date of Oct 1st, you can only work after that date.
