H4 to L1

Hi,
My husband is coming on H4 Visa and he is planning to search for the job here. I Heard that h1b application quota is completed in this year. Can he search for the job and apply for L1 once he got the job. US companies will apply for L1 visa?

L1 and H1 are different category of visas. If your husband is eligible for L1, his company has to file it. Read L1 eligibility criteria to determine if he is eligible.

Basically, L1 is for transfer from foreign entity to US office so your husband will be eligible is if his current employer (provided he has been working with them for more than 1 Year)or any employer with whom he has worked for at least 1 Year in last 3 Years may be eligible to apply L1 if they have an office in US.
