Hi, My H1 got approved in 2007 and exp in oct 2010. I have stayed only for 6 months in US i.e., from Sep 2008 to apr 2009. Now I want to apply for extension.
Can my H1 extend? If yes how long it can be?
Yes, you can file the extension or transfer based on the CAP from your previous H1B approval notice. Each H1B CAP is valid for 6 years. Only the time spend in U.S in H1B + L1 status will be counted while calculating the 6 year period.
