  • I797 & Stamped Passport Copy

    Hi Everyone,

I have reached out to a consultancy to transfer my H1b and have provided initial documents to them. They have requested me to pay the deposit (partial amount) and have decided to not to proceed further after going through all our Senior's suggestions.

Now, I have provided my I797 approval notice copy & Stamped visa copy to them and other necessary documents to them (have never signed on any document) and bit worried whether they could transfer/proceed further without even letting me know?? Would they inform to my current employer and would that cost my job? Please suggest me the possibilities and your valuable direction to come out completely from them.

Shervin143, Could you please respond me? Pls.....

    Thank you very much

    Regards,
    4mIndia

There is nothing called transfer. They cannot do anything about it. Don't worry.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

Filing a H1B petition will cost a lot of money. If the employer know for sure that you are not joining them, they won't file the petition and waste thousands of dollars. Even if they do that, you will have zero impact.
Not a legal advice. Use of this information is strictly at your own risk.
