Urgently help needed! H1B Denied; EAD-OPT STEM Application status: Initial Review!

Hi,

I am on EAD-OPT which is valid till 31st July 2012. My employer submitted a petition for my H1B on 23rd April 2012. We received a RFE on 29th May 2012 which we responded on 13th July 2012.

My H1B visa has been denied today (20th July 2012).

I have applied for EAD-OPT STEM extension on 21st June 2012 which has an "initial review" status.

My questions are..

1. Can I continue to work till 31st July 2012?
2. Would I be able to work beyond 31st July 2012? Or, I will have to wait for EAD-OPT STEM extension to be approved?
3. Is my EAD-OPT STEM extension application still valid despite my H1B visa denial?

>>> You can continue working for up to 180 days beyond the expiration of the prior post-completion OPT while the extension application is pending.

3. Is my EAD-OPT STEM extension application still valid despite my H1B visa denial?
>>> Yes. Check with your school's DSO to make sure that you are still in OPT despite applying for H1B.
