    1. Is it worth going to Singapore for a job and live there for 12 months as I am in US already ?
    2. How is the H1b stamping success rate in Singapore when compared to India ? I have a valid I797 till 09/2014 but needs visa stamping.
    3. What should be the work status I should ask my new employer to file for ? I should be able to stay there for sometime in case my H1B stamping in Singapore becomes a problem.
    4. Can I get my H1B stamping done in Singapore immediately I go there or need to wait ?
    5. Can my employer still run my payroll in US on H1b ? I am in the middle of my GC processing with I140 in process.
    6. How expensive Singapore will be and where can I find help for some Indian accommodation or community help ?

Please let me know for further questions.

    Since you ask,

    1. Who can answer that for you, but yourself. How would some one other than you know the variables that govern your life and the decisions you make.
    2. I personally believe that if everything is genuine, you will get your stamping.
    3. Are you asking about the work status to be filed for in Singapore ? If yes, a forum dealing with Singapore employments would be a better place to ask this.
    4. You should be able to get it done immediately.
    5. So, you want the employer to run payroll in US while you are not working for the employer in US but are working for employer in Singapore and getting paid in Singapore ? If you are getting paid your American salary while in Singapore, then the employer will need to run the payroll.
    6. A Singapore-ean forum should help

If I were you, I would let this opportunity pass. Employees in Singapore are known to/made to work their buns off. From what I am told, a 12 hour shift is a common thing. For me its just not worth it.

    Hello,

I am currently working in USA on H1b (valid till 09/2014 but need visa stamping to reenter if travels out of USA) and recently got a job offer in Singapore for 12 months. This company has a big base in US as well but this position is only in Singapore.

Reasons for me to consider going to Singapore :

    1. New job offering 10% better package than in USA,group offering me job is well known in Market and known for their skill.
    2. Anyway I have to go out of USA for getting my H1B stamped so why not on a job to Singapore ?
    3. I am single now so thinking of trying out a new place to work
    4. Heard good things about Singapore's IT Market and want to try internationally.
