I am non-Indian / non-Chinese with H1b. My employer is filing a PERM at the moment I believe.
Talking theoretically:
Is it possible for me to change my employer without having a severe retardation in my green card process? From my understanding, the I 140 has not yet been filed. Will my new employer have to redo the PERM? Should I wait till after the I 140 is filed so that i can some how "transfer" it to my new employer? Is that even possible? Again, from my understanding, the I 140 filing date is the priority date. If I change employers after that, do I still retain my priority date? My new job will be the same job title.
