I am currently on OPT status, I applied for H1B in April 2012 and It's approved for 3 years with Consular Process, I am in USA for 3 years and didn't travel to India and never changed the employer , so why did I get my H1B as consular processing? And I understood like I have to travel to India to get my visa stamped to work in USA or else I cannot work. And complication part comes here, my company is trying to layoff people. I don,t understand my situation. There are chances of finding employment with another employer. Can I transfer my H1B with Consular processing to another company? or is there a way to cancel my H1B and continue with my OPT until next year before effective date october 1 , 2012? Can anybody help me out how it works?
