H1 Petition Validity

Hi, I have H1 approved petition approved in 2006 and expired in 2009. I traveled on H1 for 2 months during this period.

May I know, if my petition is still valid for new H1 visa? Can I get that transferred to the new employer?

USCIS only allows 6 years from the original filing. So if you can get some employer to file it before Sep 30, it is possible.
