return to work for old employer (small company? no visa stamped on passport)

I transferred to a new company B ( large company with 2500 employees) 3 months ago and they applied for my h1b transfer..I had i797 approval from my last company A which was much smaller with only 4 employees with another person on L1 visa (so basically only 2 American employees).. now I wish to go back to work for company A and they have not cancelled my petition so I don't think they need to apply for visa with USCIS again..my concern is - I still do not have a visa stamped on my passport and will be going to india in December 2012 to get a visa stamp..will going back to the small company negatively affect my chances of getting the visa approval at the consulate in New Delhi?

I need to make the decision right away as company A would like me to start working for them ASAP..any insight is greatly appreciated!
