Indian Citizens marrying in USA
Hello,
We are Indian citizens currently on F1 and H1b visas living in Seattle. We are planning to get married here in a temple following the traditional hindu customs.
The legal side of registration of the marriage is a bit confusing for us- If we get a marriage licence from the county and get registered there, will it be valid in India as well? Will we be able to update our passports using that? Are there any other considerations to ensure we are legally recognized as a married couple in both countries?
