  • Married abroad - Green card holder

    Hi there,

I am a green card holder living in the United States and I just got married in Italy - my wife is Italian. I already came back to the US and I am not sure whether I have to register my marriage over here.
The Italian town hall where my marriage took place issued, along with the marriage certificate, an hand-filled in form which they says has validity abroad.

Can you please advise me on the required procedure for me to follow?

    Many thanks in advance.

No you do not need to register your marriage again. Also just for future get couple of additional certified copies of your marriage certificate from the marriage office in Italy. Hope this helps.

    Good luck.

I assume your query is how to bring her over here?
