    Hi ,

I am working as a h1b consultant. and I am getting paid from their TX office.

I work in Arizona and the address on my paystub shows as Arizona.

Because the pay stub is coming from TX, my state tax is zero.

Is this going to be any problem in future for getting acknoledgement of tax returns.

How can I file tax returns in Arizona. do they accept.

    thanks in advance,
    mohan

You may not get state benefits like instate Tuition fees for University even for your children schooling.

If you live in AZ you need to pay AZ taxes. Your employer should be withholding AZ taxes for you. You need to speak to your employers payroll dept about this or you may end up getting hit with a large tax due on April 15.

It is tax evasion and you should pay taxes to the state that you reside in. It could cause problems if looked at in detail.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

You can file extimated tax to AZ based on your employment there. That will protect you in the event there is any question about proper payment of taxes when your employer does not withhold them.
