I'm a UK national in the US on an E2 visa. Does anyone know whether, if I marry a UK citizen, will they be able to apply for a work visa?

Yes they will, once you are Married, they must apply for their derivative spouse E2 visa. Once approved and they arrive in the US they must apply for Employment Authorization Documentation, by filling out form I-765 and send off relevant fees. (This process takes 90 days). Once confirmed, they can apply for SSN and get a job. The only restrictions on job types they can do I believe are military or Government posts.

I am currently undergoing this process myself, being from the UK in the US on an E2 and I got married in January.

    Good luck!
