  • Can I apply for a E2 visa if I already have incorporated a US company 2 years ago?

    Hi,
I'm planning to open a US business with a partner. He is a US citizen living in the US while I'm a french citizen living in France.
The goal is to export US goods to Europe (we already have customers now but we want to "officialize" the status). I
We are not going to use $$$ to open this business for now and I would own 51% of the company.
I would like to know if I could apply for an E2 visa later (one or two years later) if the company rich some financial expectations even If we started the business with minimal investment?
Can I invest more $$ later to rich the minimal investment needed for an E2?
Can I get a salary before while I live outside the US?

    Thank you in advance,
    Pascal

The E-2 nonimmigrant classification allows a national of a treaty when investing a substantial amount of capital in a U.S. business.
