  • L1 Extension Filed and H1 got denied

    Hi All,

Looking for help on the below:

My current visa type is L1.

My employer filed for H1 in 2018 but because of no response , my L1 extension was filed in Jan 2019.

    My i 94 expired on 31 March.

My L1 extension is pending with USCIS and they have denied my H1.

Just confirming if I can still continue to stay based on 240 day rule (as L1 extension was filed prior to the expiry of i 94) and h1 denial has no bearing on 240 day rule (because of l1 extension)

Assuming your I94 was expired on March 31st 2019, then your 240 period starts from April 1st 2019.

No, it DOES NOT impact your L1 extension process.
