Going to Canada for L1b visa. What purpose to mention at Canada port of entry?

Hello all,

I have an L1-b visa interview scheduled in Vancouver, Canada. I'm currently on L2 visa in the United States. Is it fine to mention at the Canada port of entry that I'm visiting Canada to attend a visa interview in a US consulate?

Or should I mention it only if specifically asked?

Tell the truth, say you visiting Canada for US visa stamping.
