  • Work location change for L1 Regular visa

    Hi All,
As you can see, I am newbie to this forum & this is my first post. I have an L1 R visa stamped & the petition has work address of NJ. Now I will have to travel to Texas due to some changes. I will work with same employer, same job duties, same everything except the location. Can this create any issues for me at the port of entry? Do I need to carry something like an LCA which is the case for H1B visa? I assume it will not affect, as I have done the same thing on my previous L1 visa. But just wanted to check if the conditions have changed recently.

I tried to use the search feature, but did not find anything on this topic in this forum. Can some senior members please enlighten me?

    Thanks.

Come with proper project documents and be prepared for questions and check with your employer what to do if they ask location specific questions at POE. Find more about this new rule at:

Thanks - however, the rule you shared is for H-1. And I already know strict rules exist about H-1. I am on L-1 visa & landing to a different location than petition address. I have thoroughly reviewed my company's documentation & they stress that H-1 visa holders must conform to the petition location. They don't have any mention of L-1. And the company is a BEP (Business Executive Program) account holder with USCIS.

Moreover, my location did not match even before, when I was on another L-1 for same employer. So I am assuming it is fine, and will carry the necessary documentation for sure, but just wanted to know if anything has changed recently.
