Greencard, I-360 and I-485

Thanks for all the information on your website - it has been really helpful.
I am here in the U.S. on an R1 Visa that expires at the end of Sept, 07. I am currently submitting an I-360 application but the current wait times suggest that I may not get a response before my visa expires. Can you tell me whether it is possible to submit an I-485 Adjustment of Statues concurrently with the I-360. I tried to get this information from the uscis help line but they seemed very unsure.
