Bringing my new wife in under R1...?

I am currently in the US under a R1 visa. I am British.
The R1 states, I think, that I can bring in my "dependents" (wife , children...)

I am getting married in December.
Whats the procedure for re-entering the US with my wife and having her come under my R1?

Your wife has to apply R-2 status at home. See the usembassy webpage for more information.

You don`t need to go home for your wife's R-2 status, she can do it herself.
