Last name in I94: FNU, Last name in passport is blank, applying for OPT

Hi Team,

I don't have surname. So my Indian passport is,

Given Name: ABC
Last name: Blank

US VISA: ABC FNU

I94: ABC FNU

SSN: ABC

DL : ABC

I am going to apply for OPT but I see my name is not in sync with this documents. Please help me with possible cases to resolve this and apply for OPT.

How does your name in your birth cirtificate look like? I believe for OPT application, they will look at your passport. Better yet, clarify with your DSO. I had the same issue (3 years ago when i applied). My first and middle name was filled as 'last name' and my last name was filled in the first name, on my passport. But when applying for OPT. I used the correct order of my name and not according to the passport. It went through just fine.
