How hard is it to get a US student visa? Worried for my GF!!

Hey everyone I am a USA citizen but my girlfriend is a indian citizen currently under her fathers work visa in the USA and turns 21 next year so she would no longer be allowed to stay here legally. She is really worried about her chances when applying for a student visa because she currently attends a community college. From what I know she just needs admission and proof of funds. Her parents make good money and they will for sure be able to show that they can pay for the education. She is also really close to being able to transfer to the big state school in our state. She is currently on track to be able to transfer after two more semesters.

So what are her chances and what should we expect? I have seen a lot of visas approved with a lot less but we are both worried.... Any tips for the process??

Since she is already in the US, the process should be simpler (showing acceptance letter, proof of funds from a US bank, etc etc...). As long as she has not violated the terms of her H4, I would not anticipate any issues. Good Luck !

Why are you worried? have the community college issued her in I-20 and apply for an F-1 and make sure this is done way before her H-4 expires. and because you are a UCS, just married the girl. You know that's the one :-).....
