Hey everyone, I’m an F1 grad student and wanted to check if anyone’s done something like this.
My spring semester is split into 2 sessions(. I’m planning traveling abroad for the first one and taking one 3-credit online class while I’m away. Then I’m coming back to the U.S. for the second session to take 6 in-person credits. That adds up to 9 credits total, which is full-time for my program.
My SEVIS will stay active and I’ll have my visa + I-20 signed for travel.
Just wondering — has anyone had any issues doing this?
Did CBP ask anything weird at the airport when you came back?
Anything I should be prepared for?
