LLC and real estate investing

Hi everyone.

I am on a TN visa and have been working in the US for the past 9 years. I am interested in starting with real estate investing. Some people recommend investing through an LLC.

I am curious to know if I am allowed to open an LLC and invest through it while being on a TN visa?

Real estate is a very attractive market, but don't fall into the trap of thinking that the risk of investing in real estate properties is low. I think it is possible if you have an SSN and some bank accounts on your name opened in the US. Because if you don't have anything like this there is no way you could invest in estate. You should think very well before starting this type of business because estates in the USA are very expensive and there are a lot of additional costs like diagnostic immobilier and other small stuff. You need to have a good amount of money saved for starting this. And be ready to pay a lot of taxes.

As far as I know, you cann't be working on a TN and at the same time manage a business.... you can be a passive investor in any business. but not be actively involved....
