  • Change of Employer on TN visa - By mail or by border crossing ?

    1. If one changes job and employer from current TN visa, I assume you have to go to border again and repeat same process for getting new TN visa.

    2. For some reason if new TN is not approved and old TN is still valid - not expired, will you be allowed to renter on old I-94 and resume old job on old TN visa ? Or is it beneficial to do my mail ? (By mail it takes 3 months, premium processing $2500 plus lawyer fees and takes 15 days) to avoid this rejection risk for reentry at border on old visa in case new one gets rejected ?

    Regards

The NAFTA TN visa classification offers an excellent pathway for Mexican and Canadian nationals who want to work in the U.S. Not only does the TN classification allow them to work in the U.S. in a variety of professional occupations, it also allows them to change employers while working in the U.S. under TN visa.
