transit visa for indian citizen studying in canada

i am indian citizen studying in canada on student visa
i am going on vacation to india for 20days in april 2013
my flight will be toronto-newark-mumbai and again mumbai-newark-toronto
i dont have any intention to go outside airport except if terminal transfer
which visa will i required c1 visa or b2 visa as i read on internet c1 is single entry as i am returning via same route?
please help
