C1 visa required for flight change in US ??

I am Indian citizen, i am travelling from INDIA to CANADA via USA,

in NEWARK(USA), i have to change the flight, and i don't want to go outside the airport. Its only flight change.

the delay between flights in US(NEWARK) is 2Hours. i.e, MUMBAI to US(NEWARK), US(NEWARK) TO CANADA

Whether i need Transit visa (C1) for US ??
