  • Travel over 90 days

    Hello,
I’m Swiss with a biometric passport and I’ll work for six months in Polynesia.

I’ll fly to Polynesia from Switzerland (country that participates at the Visa Waiver Program) and I must transit in Los Angeles (only to change airplane, I’ll not go out from the immigration area). After six months the same thing: I’ll return to Switzerland with transit in Los Angeles (I’ll not leave the airport, only transit).

One condition for the ESTA is that the travel is less than 90 days (I don’t understand if is the period that I can spend in USA, but in my case I’ll not visit the USA, or is the period of the trip).

Do I need a transit visa for the USA?

Thank You very much for this great service and sorry for my english!

    Respectfully,
    Loris

You do not need an Transit VISA and no such rule applies to anyone in international transit.

Do note that you name will be pre screened with a no fly list maintained by the US even though you do not enter the US.
