travel agents - chennai

My parents are going for visa interview at chennai in may. I would like them to come here during may last week or june first week. I want to know if
I can block tickets now itself for good rates rather than waiting until the visa approval. I tried calling a agent in us and they say they can block only for upto 3 days. moreover is it better to go through an agent at chennai for any better prices or open blocking? please advise on any particular agrnts any of you have used at chennai. Thanks

Not sure about any chennai agents. But it is usually cheaper to buy tickets in india. And they are good enough to accomodate you if you mention that your visa hasnt been confirmed yet...
We buy my inlaws tickets in mumbai and the agent usually holds the ticket for a month or more to lock the rates!
I am sure someone here can help you with a particular good agent in chennai.

My mother and MIL came to USA today. We have purchased ticket through a chennai travel agent and he is very good / excellent service. We got quote from around 10 travel agents in chennai and USA.

We got two good travel agents at USA and three in India. But don't do any wire transfer to any travel agents.
