Wife and Kid - Tourist Visa query

I am currently in US attending business meetings and returning to India by mid of Oct, we plan to visit US in Dec again this year for 3 weeks to meet my wife's sister's new born baby in US and some sight seeing.

My wife is working full time and both of us would be applying for leaves during my child's christmas vacation on school, her biometrics and interview date is just ahead of my return date to India. Looking for some tips for her visa interview and does my current trip to US for business purpose can have any impact on her application.

May be. Mostly, visa officer will ask are you travelling alone then she needs to answer truthfully that you are in US now and then both of you travel in Dec.
