  • Parents visa rejected for the 3rd time

My parents visa got rejected for the 3rd time on Nov 16th at Chennai consulate. According to my dad the CO haven't looked at any of the paper work except the requesting letter from us. Then CO checked the letter with something on his monitor and asked "How many children you have?" and my dad replied for it. CO did not even pay much attention to anything else and called up on the next one in the queue rejecting my parents visa.

We were so frustrated... Does this happened to anyone else? CO did not even spent much time with my parents. I have a brother and sister who are all married and have kids in India and my dad has a retail business. We have consistent information for all the 3 appointments and still got visa rejected.

Is there any time limit that we have to wait for taking appointment for the 4th time. This time I am planning to take appointment for my mom first and then to my dad. The frustrating part is we prepare all the documents, family photographs and the CO doesn't even look at them...

    I really appreciate any advices

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello,

We had a similar kind of experience,my parents went for an interview on Nov 7 for the first time. My father also has a retail business.I have my grand-parents and my brother who is married living with them. The interview was in hindi,VO asked Who is in US?,How many children do you have and what do you do? My father answered all the questions promptly. Then the VO asked for property docs , we had prepared a affadavit with all the details, but instead of giving that my father just gave our house deed..and the VO without asking for any additional document just rejected the visa.We were shocked how can they just say no inspite of having all the necessary docs.
Then we took an appt. immediately for the next week. We had the same documents ..we didn't change anything coz we thought we had everything and it was VO's mistake,he was very inconsiderate for not looking at the facts. To their surprise it was the same officer but just as they approached he left and an american officer called them with a hindi interpreter, he asked the same questions, this time my father gave detailed answers..like when the officer asked what do you do..he told abt his business...when it started etc.The officer listened to all the answers patiently. Then he said you got your visa ..they got 10 yr visa.He did not look at any of the documents not even I-134. We had mentioned the last rejection in DS-156.I think its completely at the officer's discretion whether to give or not to give. Some officers really look at the facts and some of them even after looking at them choose to ignore them.I told my parents to be confident and that really helped.I hope your parents get visa ,just keep trying don't get dejected...some VO's are really unqualified..so just hope you get a good officer like we got!
