H1 Expiry & B2

Hi,

My H1 is expiring on 8th Dec and I have applied for extension. I want to apply for mother's tourist visa i.e. B2 in Dec itself.
My doubt is that I do not have any supporting document for my filed extension, how this can be handled?
Pls help
