  • TN VISA holder, Parents-in-law & brother-in-law got US VISA

(my husband (sponsor) is TN holder.)
I am so thankful to the person who recommended me this site and to the one who created this site, It was a big help. My parents and brother had their interview on 18th and they have been granted VISA to come to US.

Our case was little different from others in following regards:

    1. We are Canadian Citizens
    2. My husband is TN holder we came to US in Sep-2006
    3. My parents and brother got their Canadian immigration in July-2007

we applied for interview for all three at the same date, send all the papers that immihelp.com recommended. Only thing we changed was the cover letter:

My parents wrote that they got Canadian immigration and since they are going to Canada they also want to visit us.

Their appointment was at 12:30pm (Delhi Embassy)

They reached their at 11.45am. while they were in Queue their papers were checked by some official guy (he was checking everybodies papers). he checked DS-156, Passport,Yellow receipt

    Then finger prints were taken.

They went inside the waiting room and they were given a waiting list number.

they were called at 2:30pm, their were some helpers (embassy girls) they were taking papers from people standing in queue,. My dad tried to give her the cover letter along with DS-156, Passport and yellow receipt.... she gave it back to them and told no other paper is needed unless asked.

(called by VO who was a Non-Indian Guy)

VO (to dad) : So what do you do and what is the purpose of visiting USA?
Dad: I am a business man and we recently got our Canadian Immigration, we are going to Canada and we wish to meet our daughter in USA.

VO (to dad): How did you get your Canadian immigration?
Dad: My daughter and her husband are Canadian citizens, they sponsored us last year my son-in-law got JOB with X company in USA.

VO (to my brother): What do you do?
Brother: I am student going to Canada with my parents but I have to come back to India to complete my 3rd and last year of graduation.

VO(smiled): Your VISA has been granted.. we will send your Passports by courier.

    HAPPY ENDING!

They did not ask for a single paper. Did not even look at the sponsor papers. thanks again everyone, If anyone wants more information I'll keep checking this site for some time.

        apsingla Congratulations!!
IN this case all of the applicant's are going to be Canadian residents so I would guess that the VO would be more certain that they won't overstay in US..
Well it's all good when the end is good..
Have a great time with your relatives!
