Hi!
I spent a year and a half in India and am back in the US. I met someone while i was in india and we have been dating for over a year now. I met his family there and now he's wanting to meet mine here in the states.
He's not really wanting to live here but he wants to come and get to know my family and talk to my parents about our future. So we are looking to get married in some time..maybe a year or less...and want to do it in both places. But that's another question for another time.
For now...
what's the best visa to get him?
He's a professional singer in India and i am trying to get him cultural performances here in the States so that he would have a substantial reason for being here. That would be a P visa unless he doesn't get paid, right? If he doesn't get paid it would be a tourist visa? Which one is easier to get?
If i didn't get him shows, would it be the wrong answer for him to say he's visiting me? I read in a different scrap about a girl who said in her interview that she was going to meet her boyfriend and his family. People have told me that's asking to be rejected.
Or should i file a fiance visa? that takes a long time to process though, right?
I've been going through so much information that i'm completely confused! Any help would be very much appreciated!
