I am sponsoring my in-laws for visitor's VISA and they have already scheduled for the interviews at US consulate in Mumbai. I have already sent them all the required sponsor docs. The VFS checklists suggest to submit to VFS at least 3 working days before the interview date a limited no of documents like original DS-156 and 157, first-last passport pages, original HDFC receipt, copy of appointment letter and a few other that are not applicable to the visa applicant.
My question is -
Is it advisable to submit all the other documents( like I-134, W2, bank statement, invitation letter, proof of sponsor's status, photocopy of sponsor's passport, marriage cerificate etc) from the sponsor to VFS center at Mumbai VFS center alongwith the manadatory documents as suggested in the VFS checklist. I am inclined to submit all the sponsor documents to the Mumbai VFS center at least 3 days before the interview and this will provide the consulate to review the sponsor documents. I am also hesitant to submit all the documents ( extensive sponsor's documents as listed in this web site) to VFS as the interviewing officer might be overwhelmed by the extensive list of docs.
If someone could share their experiences with US consulate in Mumbai as to what all docs did they submit to VFS; or if they just submitted the docs to VFS listed in the checklist provided at the time of scheduling the interview.
Thanks in anticipation.
