Hi, my parents attended B2 visa interview in Chennai on 08/06. The consular officer said the visa was approved.
Father's visa status is issued and received the passport on 08/09. However did not receive my mother's passport. Upon checking my mother's visa status it shows administrative processing.
I had a typo in my mother's DS160 and so it had to be corrected by submitting another fresh DS160 on the day of biometrics. The new confirmation number was updated in the appointment letter.
Could this be the reason for administrative processing? Generally for B2 visa and family application, both visas are issued together.
Not sure why one is still in admin processing. Any clarification would be helpful. Thank you.
