My brother attended Visa interview last week in New Delhi and he was denied Visa because of economic ties.
He works in Indian Rlys(Govt) as a Train Guard and earns around INR 40,000 per month and also own 2 houses. He had 2 months Leave sanctioned and NOC.He has a wife, kid, widow mother and other relatives in India. As per my understanding he had NO negative issues with him and i also did send him sponsorship documents (I work here on H1B).
He has been asked 4 questions -
1. Where are you going ?
2. What is your designation in Rlys ?
3. How long have been working ?
4. Describe your duties ?
That's it...no further question, no documents asked !
I couldn't not understand how did the Visa officer figure out Economic ties with above four questions ? my brother had all the property and other documents very well prepared but VO didn't ask for anything. My only guess is that VO did not understand my brother's designation properly and thought it to be Security Guard (instead of Train Guard which is a very responsible position). However my brother described the duties but VO kind of made her opinion already !
Somebody please help guide if similar cases happening to others also ?
We are planning to apply again soon, should we wait for a month ? is there any recommended cold period we should wait for ?
Also , while filling up DS 160 form for new application, we are thinking to modify/append Job Title/job duties to be more descriptive so that VO doesn't misunderstand, i.e. "Train Controller(Guard)" instead of just "Guard", supporting document will be made available.
my questions here is, do VO really compare previous DS160 line by line ? can they be really critical about it ? please advise ?
