travel to US within 6 months period

My mother-in-law left in November. She is coming to USA every 6 months almost every year. can she travel to USA in March 1st week (instead of waiting for 6 months).
if needs, I can provide reasons like 'grandson birthday celebration'. we can also book ticket for 4 months this time.

do you see any issues with this approach?

Should not be a problem. As long as you are able to prove that she is not misusing B1/B2 visa issued to her (by living in USA, instead of visiting).
