Submitted my Japan visa application on 3rd September along with my wife's and infant daughter.
Mumbai office is still a walk-in appointment based.
Reached at 7.45am, walked in at 8am, took the token. Mine was no 4. Whole process was completed by 8:30am. For mine it took just 10-15 mins
I was the primary applicant in my case and the sponsor for the trip.
I carried 3 sets of documents with me; copy of statement, employer NOC, Detailed itinerary, flight tickets, hotel/airbnb vouchers. However they returned them and just kept one set of document for entire family.
Had bought the travel insurance as well but they returned it. I had 6 months bank statement, only 3 months kept rest returned. Salary slips returned.
Don't bother carrying documents other than that mentioned on the vfs website's document check list. YouTube videos might suggest carrying bunch lot of documents just in case but they are not needed. omegle xender
